Aave Delegate Critiques Aave Labsβ Track Record as Governance Dispute Persists
Marc Zeller of the Aave-Chan Initiative used the governance forum to criticise Aave Labs regarding their recent funding request.
The conflict between Aave Labs and the Aave DAO is intensifying. Delegates have increased their hostility after Labsβ βAave Will Winβ proposal sought $51 million in development funding from the DAO. On Feb 20, delegate BGD Labs stated it would stop working with the DAO. This decision follows Labsβ focus on Aave V4 instead of the mature and successful V3. Aave Labs co-founder Stani Kulechov noted in the proposal that V3 parameters should be adjusted later to encourage migration. Marc Zeller, founder of the Aave-Chan Initiative (ACI), called BGDβs exit a major change. He also sold part of his AAVE holdings. I believe this signals deeper misalignment among service providers.
