The goals include faster transactions and higher capacity. This roadmap lists several possible changes across Ethereumโs core layers. If completed, this would be the biggest evolution since The Merge in 2022. That upgrade moved Ethereum from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. The plan shows how developers are preparing the network for more users. We see gradual improvements in speed, security, and reliability.
